When summer comes around the majority of tourism masses fill the shores of popular countries like Spain and Greece, but if you intend to find a place that isn’t over run with holidaymakers then consider family holidays in Tunisia. Despite being an African nations Tunisia still has a Mediterranean coastline and is quickly becoming a better known tourist destination. The weather is just as hot if not hotter than typical European holiday resorts, with warm winds blowing off the Sahara Desert from time to time temperatures can go well into the 30°C region. Along the coast you can enjoy this heat on family holidays in Tunisia, but when things get a little hot the cool breezes from the sea are very useful or better yet take a relaxing swim. The capital Tunis is a very has been tastefully modernised over the years so that it incorporates new buildings and facilities that complimenting the many of the old structures and monuments in the city. You can enjoy family holidays in Tunisia in the capital by visiting the Zitouna Mosque, Dar Ben Abdallah and at night the illuminated clock tower. Port El Kantaoui is great coastal resort with plenty of activities on offer to provide perfect family holidays in Tunisia. Children enjoy trips to the Aqua Park nearby and the Hannibal Park which is an amusement park with two hotels and is ideal for families. Many people enjoy a few rounds on El Kantaoui Golf Course which is always kept in pristine condition, though the various chip & put and mini golf courses are better suited for family fun. |
