Everywhere we go we hear about the dreaded credit crunch, horror stories about the dire financial situation and cut backs on luxury goods. However where people may be willing to switch to economy groceries, recent surveys have shown that many are refusing to compromise when it comes to their summer holiday! Instead of giving up their escape to the sun, many are searching for the best possible cheap holiday deals, scouring internet sites for bargain flights and discount accommodation.
Many holiday makers are being extremely savvy when it comes to booking their break. The main difference is that many are shunning the once popular peak months and instead searching for cheap holiday deals in May, June and September. All inclusive packages are also becoming increasingly popular, with many opting to choose this holiday option to save money on food and drink. Even the destinations that people are choosing have changed, instead of flocking to resorts within Europe; many are taking notice of the exchange rates and heading to places outside of the euro zone.
Another option that many are taking is a holiday within the UK. Popular destinations include a relaxing walking holiday in the Scottish highlands or a London city break. Families are taking advantage of activity holidays which are fantastic for those with younger children who need to be kept entertained and occupied! There are many options for cheap holiday deals, so there is no reason to give up a well deserved break. With some extra research and searching you can find your ideal holiday for less than you would expect. |
