According to Greek Mythology Paphos is the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, known as the goddess of beauty and love you are able to experience those things with the kind locals and picturesque natural surroundings on a Paphos holiday. The acceptance of tourism makes this Cypriot town means it can offer visitors a mixture of rich historic culture and fun activities to enjoy during the day.

You can enjoy your Paphos holiday making many interesting discoveries in places like The Tomb of Kings. There you will see the tombs of many people from Paphos’ ancient high society. However their tombs have all been plundered over the years. Some of the more impressive tombs have been carved out of solid rock. Another place of interest is the Paphos Fort located in the marina which has had many purposes including a fort and a prison in its history. The Romans left their mark in the town also via the House of Dionysos and Theseus, both of which are now ruins. You can also enjoy the monument that was built in dedication to Aphrodite on your Paphos holiday.

As with most coastal destinations in throughout the Mediterranean Sea you can expect to find many beaches on Paphos holiday to enjoy the hot summer weather. You can enjoy other activities during the day other than the beach such as the Aphrodite Water Park which has many great slides and rides that are very popular for families on holiday. There is an ancient open air Odeon which is a classic Greek amphitheatre that often holds live plays and musical events.
